Cellulite is a frustrating problem for millions of people. Despite popular belief, cellulite is not a “fat problem” and cannot be treated with diet and exercise. It is a structural problem with three components: tight fibrous bands that pull the skin down towards the muscle, small globules of fat that get trapped between these fibrous bands and thin skin that is easily distorted. When the fibrous bands under the skin tighten up, the enlarged fat globules get pushed up to the surface of skin causing the “cottage cheese” appearance.
Existing cellulite treatments focus on treating cellulite superficially by applying treatment above the skin but Cellulaze is a revolutionary surgeon-performed laser-assisted cellulite reduction treatment that uses a small laser under the skin to break the fibrous bands and melt small components of fat, while thickening and adding elasticity to the skin. Cellulaze is proven to increase your skin’s natural depth for a smoother, appearance that lasts. And it takes only one treatment to achieve this
The results vary between patients and depend on how bad your cellulite is. In general cellulite is graded on a scale of 1-4 with 4 being the worse. Most people see a 1 grade or better in cellulite reduction. The procedure can be combined with liposuction or any other procedure. Cellulaze generally takes about an hour and can be performed under a local anaesthetic or sedation. Patients can return back to the gym in 2 weeks and generally wear a compression garment for 4-6 weeks. It can take up to 6 months to notice results.
How does it work?
Cellulite is caused by natural life processes (hormones, genetics, etc) which can lead naturally occurring connective tissue bands under the skin to tighten up leading to enlarged fat cells that get pushed up to the surface of skin causing the “cottage cheese” appearance. Existing cellulite treatments focus on treating cellulite superficially by applying treatment above the skin. Only our laser-assisted cellulite reduction treatment addresses the fibrous bands beneath the skin, while also thickening and adding elasticity to the skin.
