What is Botox and Dysport? Rice Cosmetic Surgery Toronto

Understanding when to use

Botox and Dysport

An alternative to fillers, neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport temporarily block nerve receptors on the muscle to prevent the muscle contractions that cause lines and wrinkles.

Like Botox, Dysport is a neuromodulators made with Botulinum Toxin Type A and is used to treat crow’s-feet, horizontal forehead lines and down-turned corners of the mouth.

Research has shown that with multiple treatments, Dysport lasts longer than Botox. Although some patients have longer results, the majority of patients will notice improvement of their wrinkles for 3 to 4 months.  Dysport also provides a softer look and is an option for people who are resistant to Botox.
